She is an expert ... Tax evasion. Always get a record of the payment or a receipt or canceled check to. The burden of proof that you paid the rent, if later, distributed, or a part of your security deposit withheld, is yours.

The next time you pay rent, bring a friend. This friend saw the transaction, and insist on a receipt. If the owner refuses to accept the payment, your friend is paying witness to his attempt, and accept the refusal of owners who pay them. They have done their duty, if the offer of payment of rent.

At least the owners have a receipt, write, "said XXX months rent in full. Probably go with that obtained for the moment," hiding "the real amount of money as rent.

CT Landlord and Tenant Act, the landlord gives the tenant a receipt for the cash. Inform the owner of that fact.

If the owner will give a receipt, do not pay in cash.

If the owners had to say that you would not pay rent, you have no way to prove you pay the rent.

§ 47a-3a. Lease: rent. Written receipt for the cash.

(c) Upon receipt of a payment in cash or on behalf of the owner, the owner, the person who will give the payment a receipt showing the date of payment, the amount and the purpose for which s' making the payment.

Take a video camera. Meet with your landlord. Cash discount. Save the transaction, verbal and visual.

(I think he will get the picture - a pun).

move. The man tried to ensure there is no evidence that you or pay you try later, or with hidden income.
