Why does Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for PC keep freezing? - joypad mouse

I play a few minutes and just freeze. The keyboard, mouse and navigation keys are all that is not responding and I press the power button to restart. The disc is new and has no scratches or defects at all. I have not installed all the mods, but I hear my own songs to the user of the radio station. My computer's hard drive is new and has tons of space. Has anyone else this problem? How do I solve this problem?
